Hip-Hop Lives in the North

If you live in Toronto or its vicinity you've probably heard the phrase "Hip-hop ain't dead, it lives in the North" a few times. Well, Drake's debut album "Thank Me Later" is proving that to be true. Internet reports confirm that Drake's release has gone Platinum in Canada in less than a week. Those numbers in Canada translate to 100,000 sold. But if you take in the population compared to the US and the urban industry, this is a huge feat.
Time will tell if he can surpass Maestro’s impressive 190,000+ units sold for his classic album, "Symphony in Effect". For now, congrats to Drake. Salute.
