2013 Lamborghini Aventador Roaster

Could this be the most exciting Lambo ever built? That's what car fantatics are saying.

At the heart of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is the same V12 6.5-liter normally-aspirated engine that features a stop/start system, cylinder deactivation, and is connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission – all of which allows for 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) capabilities in three seconds on its way to a top speed of 217 mph (349 km/h).

In addition, the engine cover now features a “spinal column” with two lines of hexagonal windows – while the scissor doors have a chamfered edge for the frameless windows. Unlike its Murcielago Roadster predecessor which featured a fabric roof, the Aventador features a carbon fiber version that uses can be easily removed in but a few seconds. Some of the Roadster-exclusive amenities include 20- and 21-inch (front/rear) alloys that lower the vehicle’s weight by 10 kg (22 pounds) – along with a bespoke two-tone finish.

The 2013 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will go on sale next summer at a starting price of approximately $382,000.
