#TBT: Material Girl - Harvey Stripes ft. Jay Vado

At the top of 2010, Harvey teamed up with Canadian R&B singer Jay Vado to drop his first international release with the song "Material Girl".

Touching on a topic to which many men and women can relate, materialism, Harvey questioned whether his material girl loves him more than she loves the Gucci, Louis Vuitton and money. He also said, at the time, the song promotes a female who is independent, appreciates the finer things in life, but can still rely on her man.

"It's just exploring the mind state of a materialistic girl," Stripes explained of Material Girl at the time. "The concept is really a 2010 version of the 'ashy to classy' story."

The video was directed by Sharpshooter.
